Angelina Jolie is 'Wanted' Brand New Trailer 995995
of the most successful Russian film franchise in history, the Night Watch series—Wanted tells the tale of one apathetic ... Genre: Fantasy-Thriller Cast: James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman, Terence Stamp, Thomas Kretschmann, Common and Angelina Jolie Directed by: Timur Bekmambetov
Screenplay by: Michael Brandt & Derek Haas and Chris Morgan Story by: Michael Brandt & Derek Haas Based on the Series of Comic Book by: Mark Millar and J.G. Jones Produced by: Marc E. Platt, Jim Lemley, Jason Netter, Iain Smith Executive Producers: Marc Silvestri, Adam Siegel, Roger Birnbaum, Gary Barber
Based upon Mark Millar's explosive graphic novel series and helmed by stunning visualist director Timur Bekmambetov—creator of the most successful Russian film franchise in history, the Night Watch series—Wanted tells the tale of one apathetic nobody's transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, the world will be introduced to a hero for a new generation: Wesley Gibson. 25-year-old Wes (James McAvoy) was the most disaffected, cube-dwelling drone the planet had ever known. His boss chewed him out hourly, his girlfriend ignored him routinely and his life plodded on interminably. Everyone was certain this disengaged slacker would amount to nothing. There was little else for Wes to do but wile away the days and die in his slow, clock-punching rut. Until he met a woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie). After his estranged father is murdered, the deadly sexy Fox recruits Wes into the Fraternity, a secret society that trains Wes to avenge his dad's death by unlocking his dormant powers. As she teaches him how to develop lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, Wes discovers this team lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: carry out the death orders given by fate itself. With wickedly brilliant tutors—including the Fraternity's enigmatic leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman)—Wes grows to enjoy all the strength he ever wanted. But, slowly, he begins to realize there is more to his dangerous associates than meets the eye. And as he wavers between newfound heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one could ever teach him: he alone controls his destiny.

Hitachi EX 60 Excavator Making a Small Gravel Parking Lot 690261
YouTube converted version. They both look about the same to me. Using a Hitachi EX 60 excavator to construct a rough angle parking lot at a road side This is the same basic video as the other one I uploaded, entitled 'EX 60', but about a minute and a half shorter. I uploaded it to experiment with resolution settings. This one was created at 320x240, while the other one was done at 640x480. I wanted to see how much of a difference it would make in the YouTube converted version. They both look about the same to me.
Using a Hitachi EX 60 excavator to construct a rough angle parking lot at a road side in front of a building supply company in Vancouver, Canada.
NOTE: Sorry about the rough pixels. Honestly, it looked much better before I uploaded it. I guess a lot of the resolution was lost when the YouTube site converted it.
I am a rather pleased with the way this vid turned out; actually, this is my first 'head cam' video that I can honestly say turned out pretty much as I had hoped. I was having a bit of a rough go of it, what with trying to get the camera up and down angle just right, as you probably can tell from watching some of my other 'at work' type videos. I tried tilting my hard hat to a much more forward angle this time, and pretty much hit the target bang on. What you see in this video is pretty much what I see when operating the excavator, but with a markedly narrower field of view, obviously. The camera still cannot follow my eyes' movement, just the movement of my head.
One thing that I found interesting: When I watched this video full-screen before uploading it to this site, it occurred to me that what I saw on screen was pretty much the perspective that I saw when sitting in the cab, distancewise, in other words, the size of the objects on screen was pretty much the same as what I saw through my own eyes when in the machine, which I think is a plus. The down side is that the video gets a bit shaky at times, due to the bouncing and shaking of the machine. I left it in, rather than trying to stabilize it, as I would have had to give up too much of the image, and at some points, you would not have been able to see important aspects of this video, like the dozer blade, for example, as they would have been removed from the edge of the picture.
I would ask two things of you: Please RATE this video, and PLEASE COMMENT on it. I'll be grateful if you would do that for me - be they favorable or unfavorable comments.
I'm also open to your suggestions for future videos. I do not currently have access to a cat or backhoe, sorry (used to have, but that doesn't help now). But I will be doing a few more later on with an EX 200 (hopefully on a commercial demolition job somewhere) and a dump truck. Well, maybe not the dump truck, but we'll see.
On another note, I'm looking for someone who would be willing to ride shotgun in a garbage truck (front loader, so no picking up garbage bags, just picking up cans with the forks) with me on one Saturday, to do camera work. There are a few different angles, etc, that I want to play with (eg: getting some overhead shots of the packer blade doing its thing, which I can't do solo, as I need someone in the cab to push the button for the blade; getting a side shot of the rear door opening and the blade pushing the garbage out, etc), and try to put together a better garbage truck video or three, than the ones I've been able to do so far.
You'd have to pack your own lunch, and the only pay would be the pure, unadulterated joy of riding in a garbage truck (quite a glamorous thing, really ;p) . But if you're into that, and live in the greater Vancouver area, let me know. I usually start at about 3 am, as it's a 12 -13 hour shift, and I like to get it done before the transfer station closes. The shop is on the North Shore. (more) (less)

went on to create our first computer virus. We chose to do it for mac as the platform is still a virgin territory ;-) Spice up your Newton Virus is the first art virus by Troika.
In the beginning were harmless computer viruses. Viruses born out of the wit of early computer adopters, viruses whose sole purpose was to surprise and amuse. A non-destructive form of artificial life.
We wanted to revive this golden era, and went on to create our first computer virus. We chose to do it for mac as the platform is still a virgin territory ;-)

Wanted! The Outlaws
Wanted! The Outlaws" align="left" style="margin-right: 15px;" /> Less successful when it's sentimental (Waylon Jennings' "My Heroes Have Always Been Cowboys") than when it's wry (Willie Nelson's myth-puncturing "Me and Paul"), this cash-in compilation of previously released cuts was just in time to grab the first platinum record ever awarded a country album. It's not bad, but both Jennings' contemporaneous Dreaming My Dreams and Nelson's Red Headed Stranger are more nuanced tastes of the good-bad-but-not-evil-ol'-boy lifestyle. (Not to mention much of Tompall Glaser's own Outlaw compilation.) This 1996 CD reissue adds nine more tracks from the era as well as a new Jennings-and-Nelson version of Steve Earle's "Nowhere Road." --Rickey Wright

The Royal Tenenbaums (Collector's Edition)
The magical triad behind Rushmore's spunky, starry-eyed soundtrack--music supervisor Randall Poster, composer Mark Mothersbaugh, and director Wes Anderson--leaps forward a decade from that beloved soundtrack's '60s gems, in the process adopting a more pensive feel for The Royal Tenenbaums' musical backdrop. It may lack the euphoric sing-along feel of, say, Creation's "Makin' Time," but the rock and folk tracks here perfectly match the film's crumbling characters and their dilapidated relationships. The Ramones' "Judy Is a Punk" is a burst of nostalgic rebellion but surely causes a sad twinge in light of Joey Ramone's untimely death in 2001; gloom-folker Nick Drake's "Fly" and Elliott Smith's excellently depressing "Needle in the Hay"--which is used to chilling effect during a wrist-slashing scene--further deepen the dark thread running through Tenenbaums. But those who prefer the sunny disposition of Rushmore will be thrilled by the calming concoctions of Mothersbaugh, who heralds the coming of a new scene with graceful woodwind/string parts ("Scrapping and Yelling") and playful sitar pieces ("Pagoda's Theme"). Throw in the Clash's squalling "Police & Thieves" and the Velvet Underground's petal-soft "Stephanie Says" and you've got another winning soundtrack from the film biz's most in-tune music lovers. Tenenbaum or not, you can go home again. --Kristy Martin

Malibu's Most Wanted
Wanted" align="left" style="margin-right: 15px;" />Malibu's Most Wanted stars Jamie Kennedy (Scream) as a white boy named Brad (or, as he prefers it, B-Rad) from the beach community north of L.A. who thinks he's a hip-hop star on the verge of discovery. His wannabe rap star persona is an embarrassment to his father's political campaign, so his father's handlers hire two actors (Anthony Anderson and Taye Diggs) to pretend to be ghetto gangsters, kidnap B-Rad, and "scare the black out of him." The movie's main source of comedy is that these prissy actors are no more street than B-Rad, so they're posing even more than he is. Malibu's Most Wanted isn't the Scary Movie-style lampoon you might expect; it's actually a surprisingly earnest character comedy about the cultural behaviors people use to identify themselves. This approach may get in the way of some potential laughs, but it also gives the movie some heart. --Bret Fetzer
